Description
Addressing the needs of forcibly displaced populations and host communities requires a collaborative approach that focuses on transforming lessons learned from various interventions into actionable knowledge that empowers local communities and drives systemic change. This interactive workshop will explore effective strategies for translating complex research findings on diverse local practices into actionable and transferable knowledge products for a broad network of stakeholders.
Participants will engage in a co-creation process to explore and discuss scenarios that resonate with and empower local communities, regardless of the specific context. The workshop will emphasize the importance of learning from past initiatives and applying those insights to current challenges. We’ll also address how new knowledge can help build on and strengthen lessons learned. The facilitators of the workshop have experience with working in this context, and will offer their learnings based on multi-country project examples, but the scope of the workshop will also be broader and applicable in wider contexts.
We will delve into practical methodologies for:
– Identifying Key Actionable Insights: Moving beyond traditional reports to pinpoint critical learnings and translate them into usable formats that drive real change.
– Co-designing Impactful Tools for Knowledge Transfer: Utilizing participatory methods to create tailored knowledge products (e.g., toolkits, digital resources) that address specific community needs and contexts.
– Facilitating Collaborative Learning: Engaging stakeholders throughout the creation process to foster ownership and amplify impact.
– Measuring Lasting Change: Developing strategies to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of knowledge products across different settings.
– Capturing new information and nuance: Strengthening a continuously growing knowledge base.
