Under this session several prominent Tribal leaders from Native American Tribes and Native Villages and Innovator Fellows will share their perspectives on respectful, culturally appropriate ways to engage with Tribes to build foundations for long-term, collaborative relationships. The discussion will cover respecting Tribal sovereignty, transparently sharing information, and active listening to understand the unique priorities of individual Tribal communities since every Tribe is different. The leaders will also share case studies on successful joint corporate/Tribal collaborations and the importance of being present on the land for in-person meetings in this age of increased use of remote conferencing. Participants will expand their knowledge of some of the unique Indigenous cultures present since time immemorial in the US aspiring touphold their traditions and thrive today through new partnerships.
