Collaboratories in Action: Co-Designing Systemic Solutions to Homelessness

An engaging, action-oriented session where participants will immerse themselves in a mini-Collaboratory experience. Collaboratories are a model built by Elevated Denver where a small group of lived experts, and individuals from business, government and nonprofits co-design innovative solutions to large-scale social challenges like homelessness. During the session, participants will have the opportunity to learn techniques used in Collaboratories, including equity-centered design strategies like empathy mapping, ideating, and prototyping. Participants will collectively define a problem and work to develop creative solutions to that problem during the session. The session will highlight the importance of lived expert leadership in the Collaboratory model, providing insights into developing inclusive and effective teamwork.
