Description
The global development market is facing an unprecedented time, with significant cuts to foreign aid across the board including the United States, the Netherlands, Germany, France, and other countries that were previously significant contributors. In this new reality, the need for blended finance solutions to mobilize private, public, and philanthropic financing is even more critical, particularly in the Global South. Now more than ever, blended finance must hone in on its efficiencies to use scarce catalytic capital to unlock greater funding to scale impact. The panel will feature insights from a range of long-standing catalytic capital providers who will share practical examples from designing and deploying blended finance vehicles. This interactive session aims to offer valuable insights into existing best practices and strategies for success, offering a closer look at how scale can be achieved across different blended finance vehicles for social enterprises and impact funds, as well as through various financial instruments (e.g., grants, debt and equity, and guarantees).
