Our Speaker, Carolina Almeida Cruz, is the founder of C-MORE, one of the leading tech startups for ESG and a Portuguese Tech Award Winner 2021 in the category Sustainability & Climate Change Activist!

Carolina has had a remarkable career dedicated to social impact and sustainability. Beginning her journey at the International Labor Organization, where she focused on Human Trafficking and Women’s Rights, she later collaborated with organizations in Nepal, Tibet, and India to combat trafficking. In 2012, she co-founded the Sapana nonprofit organization in Portugal. Her educational background spans Psychology at ISPA, Financials and Stewardship for Non-Profits at Harvard, studies in Entrepreneurship, Social Impact, Innovation at the United Nations University for Peace and a master’s degree in management and economics, as well as a doctoral candidate in sustainability at ISCTE. She has been recognized with the “Iconic Women Creating a Better World” Award from the Women Economic Forum in 2019. Carolina now leads C-MORE, a B-Corp, where she conducts research on Human Rights and sustainability.

In this dynamic session, Carolina will unveil how Artificial Intelligence (AI) serves as a linchpin in translating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into tangible business strategies and outcomes. Attendees will discover the innovative ways AI is being leveraged to analyze, predict, and enhance sustainability performance within the corporate sphere. She will dissect successful models where AI has streamlined ESG integration, transformed data into actionable insights, and ultimately fortified the business case for sustainability.
