Description

This session explores how capital systems can best support African health enterprises that offer scalable pathways to reaching millions with next-generation HIV prevention and treatment. Participants will engage in a funder flip/role reversal, developing pitches for how financing can address the needs of three hypothetical enterprises: a private pharmacy network, a youth focused telemedicine/ePharmacy service, and a mobile workplace health clinic model. The session will surface proposed solutions for how financing approaches and capital systems must evolve to better serve high-impact enterprises. While grounded in health, the insights generated will be applicable across sectors where the “missing middle” constrains impact-driven businesses.
