Description

Cities rely on formal complaints to guide safety investments, yet most sexual harassment and violence goes unreported. This session shares a proven, place-based model using citizen-generated data to reveal hidden risk patterns and drive institutional action. Participants will engage in a hands-on lab combining real case studies with a live mapping exercise. In groups, they will analyze perceived vs actual safety, explore anonymized data, and co-design interventions across urban design, policy, and behavior change. Attendees will leave with a simple, replicable framework to integrate lived experience into decision-making and build safer, more inclusive communities.
