Description

Justice40 was only the beginning. What will it take to achieve Justice100—where 100% of investments in climate resilience and infrastructure flow through communities on the frontlines of environmental injustice, even when federal legislators, policy, and the administration retrench? This session highlights new models for cross-sector collaboration between nonprofits, CDFIs, funders, and local community leaders building trans-local, justice-first climate investment strategies. For Justice 100 to take shape in our lifetime, we must realize the power of regional localized partnerships that can seed, shape, and catalyze the climate readiness pipeline of individual and community-level projects. While faced with federal threats, we must think creatively and dynamically about state/local collaboration toward climate goals.

Featuring lessons from NFF, Justice Capital, community-based partners on the ground, and a philanthropic foundation utilizing both their grants and mission investment vehicles, the panel will explore pooled capital, shared governance, and new investment infrastructure to advance equitable climate solutions.
