From Pilot to Platform: Financing the Revolution of Biologicals and Climate Resilience

Across Africa, farmers face rising costs and uneven access to conventional agricultural inputs at the very moment climate stress is making productivity harder to sustain. Biological inputs are a promising nature-based solution, but scaling them requires more than proof of concept. It requires the right policy environment, financing structures, and implementation partnerships. This session brings together a market builder, a public climate finance leader, and Rwanda’s Minister of Environment to explore what it takes to move biologicals from pilot to platform: how regulation evolves, how public and private capital can work together, and how countries can back solutions that support farmers, soil health, and climate goals at once.
