Lehua Philanthropono: Indigenous Fundraising Change Agents

Indigenous communities receive less than two cents per $100 in U.S. philanthropy while facing growing demand and limited fundraising capacity. As philanthropy shifts through trust-based approaches and Decolonizing Wealth, this interactive Skills Lab introduces Lehua Philanthropono as the next step, building Indigenous fundraising change agents within communities. Participants will engage in hands-on exercises to map funding gaps, apply culturally grounded fundraising principles, and design strategies to strengthen internal capacity. Grounded in relationship and reciprocity, this session equips attendees to transform how philanthropy flows.
