Description
By implementing an open contracting approach, public officials can ensure the millions in city spending benefit their communities. Building human-centered policies, inclusive programs, data-driven tools and technology skills for City staff can support a more equitable, transparent and data-driven procurement system that increases spending with a more varied and greater number of disadvantaged businesses. This ensures that money stays in the community, increasing prosperity and economic opportunities for residents.
This session will build on the insights of two case studies & success stories, the City of Boston’s Equity in Contracting initiative and Paraguay’s Vigía SME opportunity and monitoring platform.
