Description
Millions of working households are locked out of homeownership. Offsite construction can produce starter homes faster and cheaper, but only if the capital is there to build at scale. Traditional financing was built for traditional builds, and that mismatch is stalling production. Washington’s Starter Home Plan is actively working to close this gap, partnering with the WA State Housing Finance Commission (WSHFC), mission-aligned developers, manufacturers, and CDFIs and conventional lenders to design construction financing tools purpose-built for offsite methods. This session shares that live design process.
