Announcing the SOCAP24 Agenda — Going Deeper: Catalyzing Systems Change!

Next in Mind - Innovation-driven responses to the rising mental health challenges among emerging adults in the Nordics

Sofia Breitholtz Reach for Change

With rising mental health challenges, a great number of emerging adults struggle to reach their full potential.

In fact, no other age group reports as many challenges as 18-29 year-olds while also having a hard time accessing affordable and appropriate support. This we want to change.

As cultivators of social entrepreneurship, we don’t subscribe to a single cure-all solution to a systemic and multifaceted problem. Instead, we are reaching out to entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, practitioners and emerging adults in a united cross-sector effort to revolutionize mental health support in the Nordics.

From healing to thriving, from personal to community, we are empowering scalable solutions that have the potential to secure emerging adults’ right to be well.

Together, Reach for Change, The Inner Foundation, and the Tim Bergling Foundation, have engaged the public and private sectors, academia, mental health practices, as well as emerging adults, to launch an incubator of empowering, scalable and impactful solutions in mental wellbeing. This Nordic-wide scaling readiness program also includes cross-sector ecosystem and advocacy activities.

We will use this experience, knowledge and program to showcase what is happening in the Nordics, while also providing an engaging and thought provoking panel on how we can and must work between different sectors to address mental health. At the same time, showcasing how social entrepreneurs have an incredible ability to revolutionize mental health support.

The panel will include experts within mental health, system change drivers and a social entrepreneur working with a wide scale solution within mental health.
