Residential therapeutic centre for women, children, and families

Naarah Rodwell CASPA (Australia)

2 speakers Naarah Rodwell, CEO of CASPA in Australia, and Bruce D. Perry, from the Neurosequential Network in the US, will discuss matters related to child trauma and emphasize the importance of a holistic approach to address it. According to Bruce Perry, a renowned expert in the field of child trauma, trauma affects all aspects of a child’s life, including their physical, emotional, and cognitive well-being. To effectively address the consequences of trauma, interventions must be comprehensive and address the child’s needs in a holistic manner. Naarah Rodwell, inspired by Bruce Perry’s approach would like to learn from experience, collaboration and coordination among various stakeholders, including caregivers, educators, healthcare professionals, and community organizations and multidisciplinary approach that recognizes the interconnectedness of different domains in a child’s life. The interview will conclude with a call to action, urging policymakers, funders, and practitioners to prioritize and invest in holistic interventions for children who have experienced trauma to help these children heal, thrive, and reach their full potential.
Naarah is looking for funding, financing, and expertise support to help build similar centre in Australia, on a land which belongs to CASPA.
