Partisan gridlock and democratic backsliding block the policy actions our planet urgently needs. Expedition Future’s Policy Sprint has united Swiss lawmakers from the far left to the far right on major climate and social policies, in just four half-day sessions. Its results: 11 cross-party parliamentary motions submitted, 22 measures now being implemented. In 2023, an international jury of 1,045 European citizens selected it as the top political innovation across 337 projects from 26 countries, winning the Innovation in Politics Award. One Thriving Planet is a partner in scaling globally. Our focus: How do we accelerate adoption of this proven method by national and subnational governments worldwide — at the speed the polycrisis demands?
