Description

Service learning, a type of experiential learning, is an instructional strategy that offers learning opportunities via civic engagement through collaboration with local agencies to address community needs. As an emerging field, service learning remains underutilized in online skill-building programs. This workshop session will explore how integrating service learning into remote education programs can improve workforce development outcomes, strengthen local economies, and drive lasting community impact. Through a dynamic Fishbowl discussion, attendees from various backgrounds will rotate into the conversation to contribute their knowledge, exchange ideas, and collaborate on strategies.
