Structuring Blended Finance for a Shifting Landscape: Lessons from the Field

As ODA contracts and development finance priorities shift, the blended finance field has an opportunity to rethink how impact-first vehicles are designed and for whom. This session brings together practitioners who have collectively worked across fund structuring, management, and allocation in international markets — and who share a conviction that a broader, more diverse capital base is both possible and necessary. Drawing on recent experience, they will explore what it takes to build vehicles that work for local institutional investors, foundations, and private capital alongside traditional anchors, and what the field gets right and wrong when designing for impact first.
