The Future of Community Finance: Changing Capital Flows

Community finance has never been more important, but the ways capital flows to CDFIs and other mission-driven lenders are out of line with the scale and scope of community needs. As private markets expand and traditional funding assumptions come under pressure, the community finance field faces an urgent question: How do we change capital flows without losing the community grounding and mission discipline that make this work effective and sustainable? This session will explore what it would take to better connect capital to community finance, and what new structures, partnerships, and expectations would move more capital into underserved communities with less friction.
