The intersection of spirituality, investing and business

Jenna Nicholas Impact Experience

Jenna and Mark will discuss the intersection of spirituality, investing and business. While investors and business leaders infrequently discuss spiritual influences in their investment decision making and broader decision making, for many, the role of spirituality and faith is what drives meaning and purpose in their investment and business decisions. Mark and Jenna will discuss how spiritual influences have played a role in their decision-making processes, and facilitate a discussion on what role it has played for others.

People’s fundamental motivation, context, and worldview is often determined by their spirituality. Broadly defined, one’s spirit includes “the immaterial intelligent or sentient part of a person, and the activating or essential principle influencing a person”. At the heart of all impact investing lies the ethical and value systems that are historically grounded in one’s spirituality.
