Description
In this facilitated dialogue, we aim to convene a diverse group of participants—from institutional investors and emerging-market entrepreneurs to policymakers and philanthropic leaders. The session focuses on how capital can flow effectively into emerging economies, leveraging both public and private markets to catalyze innovation, transparency, and social development.
Ms. Mehta will facilitate the dialogue by sharing motivating case studies of impact in emerging markets, each highlighting a different facet of the discussion—from technology’s role in reshaping access to capital, to the critical importance of women as the world’s largest “emerging market,” to the challenges and opportunities of measuring impact at scale. After each brief story, participants will engage in a focused group reflection to exchange insights, pose questions, and brainstorm collaborative solutions.
The session will conclude with a final wrap-up chat that synthesizes key ideas and actionable steps. Guiding the dialogue is Ms. Mehta, recognized as a “top ten women in asset management” by Money Management Executive and a “Brilliant Quant” by Forbes Magazine. She is a pioneer in responsible investing, having launched the first actively managed emerging-market fossil-fuel-free fund, become the first systematic investor to sign the PRI, and authored the #1 best-selling book, Power of Capital. Ms. Mehta is an entrepreneur, aiming to catalyze the notion of alpha and impact through public markets through her firm, Global Delta Capital.
