Description

This session is intended to spark a candid, peer-driven conversation around asset-owner accountability. We will share findings from a 2025 mixed-methods survey, featuring diverse voices from impact entrepreneurs and fund managers that reveal how asset owners are perceived in their role: where LPs meet the mark, and where we can all benefit from developing. Through open dialogue and debate amongst session participants, we will discuss the barriers to greater accountability and highlight opportunities for leadership when LPs choose to step up.

Participants will be asked to reflect honestly, inspecting both the legitimate barriers and potential long term value gained from greater accountability.

-Difficult Conversations: Capital-seekers report enormous benefit from the most difficult conversations, yet we hesitate to deliver hard messages. What might be possible if we worked through the hesitation?

— The Power Dynamic: Capital-seekers struggle with the power imbalances inherent in our industry. What shifts when we disrupt them?

— Process Integrity: Capital-seekers want an investment process that is professional, candid and fast. How can we do better?

— Leading by Example: Capital-seekers benefit from the pro-activity of leaders in the asset-owner community. How do we reward leaders?
