What is your role in the Social Capital Market?
I am an entrepreneur committed to sustainable and equitable development of India.
ONergy is a early stage social enterprise providing last mile energy access to India’s BoP. We provide renewable energy solutions for lighting, cooking and electrification – through a network of renewable energy centres.
Switch ON  – ONergy  work in a hybrid model – to create an ecosystem to provide awareness, training and market development for renewable energy products and services . In addition we setup a distribution and service network to deploy complete energy solutions  – in rural india.
I am joining SOCAP to share my experience on how energy can be made affordable and accessible. In addition to meet like-minded people and strike partnerships in funding, project implementation and technology transfer.
What is the single most important step to creating a more established social capital market?
We need all stakeholders to have the ability to take on risk – by understanding the challenges and expect that the social capital market cannot work like normal markets and business.
It requires a different level of passion, skills and patience.
