SOCAP is partnering with the Global Steering Group for Impact Investment (GSG) to produce an Entrepreneur Catalyst Day as part of the GSG Impact Summit 2019 in Santiago, Chile this November.
SOCAP’s Entrepreneur Catalyst Day on November 20th is open to all GSG Impact Summit attendees, including social entrepreneurs of all stages, accelerator leaders, early stage investors, and players from across the global impact ecosystem. Programming will include framing panels, interactive roundtables, and inspiring pitch sessions. This program will actively engage all attendees to collectively boost entrepreneurs that are innovating and scaling sustainable, high impact solutions.
With attendees representing across geographies, issue areas, and sectors, we will focus on elevating the work of entrepreneurs and collaboratively addressing the challenges they are facing. The global participation provides a unique opportunity to explore how best practices and innovative solutions can be shared. We’ll also discuss approaches to supporting and scaling impact enterprises, and how can accelerators, incubators, and early stage investors can best work together to support this ecosystem.
About The GSG
The Global Steering Group for Impact Investment (GSG) is an independent organization that grew out of the G8 Social Impact Investment Taskforce. Led by CEO Amit Bhatia and Chaired by Sir Ronald Cohen, the GSG is made up of advisory boards from 23 different nations all over the world and the European Union.
Since they were first officially established as an independent group in 2015, GSG has grown into a global movement bringing together leaders from the worlds of finance, business, and philanthropy to catalyze impact investment and entrepreneurship for the benefit of people and planet.

About the GSG Impact Summit
The GSG Impact Summit will take place in Santiago on November 18th – 20th, 2019. Hundreds of impact leaders, investors and entrepreneurs will gather together to discuss the new impact economy that is taking shape and how it can drive positive social change, climate solutions, and economic justice while offering opportunities for businesses, investors, governments and consumers.
The GSG invited SOCAP to help create additional programming as part of the 2019 Summit that will focus entirely on entrepreneurs, their challenges, and the many ways we can all work together to help support their success. This additional programming is complementary to the leading policy and investment conversations hosted by the GSG.
The purpose of the Impact Summit is to unlock the energy, ideas, and money that will be required to build a better world. SOCAP is excited to contribute our experience in convening entrepreneurial ecosystems to this event, because we believe that entrepreneurs are the heart of impact and the long term health of this field requires keeping the challenges and success of entrepreneurs central to the conversation.

There is a vibrant ecosystem in Latin America that supports entrepreneurs, including a great number of local organizations that are working every day to ensure this ecosystem thrives. To complement the work of amazing organizations such as Agora, Start Up Chile, New Ventures Mexico, SVX Mexico, Pomona Impact, and more, our Entrepreneur Catalyst Day programming will contribute insights gathered from our position as one of the largest and most diverse communities of social entrepreneurs and impact investors in the world. We will bring the insights we have gleaned from many years of working with SOCAP’s Social Entrepreneur Scholarship recipients and from hosting our own annual Impact Accelerator for entrepreneurs at SOCAP to the programming design process.

The event will also feature pitch sessions with entrepreneurs from Latin America and around the world sharing their solutions. Interactive workshop and networking sessions will ensure that the wisdom in the room is shared to catalyze the work of each participant.
