This year, Dream.org received a $1 million grant to help identify, promote, and support innovative approaches to disrupting the prison industry. The $1 million will be awarded as the Justice Innovation Prize and presented at SOCAP23. Five finalists, selected from hundreds of entrants, will present their ideas in front of an esteemed panel of judges — including Shaka Senghor, Miriam Rivera, and Marcus Glover — and a live audience at SOCAP23.
The pitch competition begins at 9:00 a.m. PT on October 24 at Yerba Buena Center for the Art’s Blue Shield of California Theater. The pitch competition is free and open to the public.
