When I named the conference, I linked three terms to help create a space at the intersection of money and meaning; a market that thinks like investing but feels like giving without violating either. Now there is a great discussion by folks who have used the phrase social capital in its original context that’s worth paying attention to. Is social capital an asset, or is it a public good? Or is it both, a brand partly owned by the community; a blend of an asset class and a movement?
