Description

Collective action becomes even more important as the political landscape shifts. Advancing DEI policies requires more than just pushing for change—it demands smart strategies, collaboration, and a willingness to take action across different levels and organizations. This session will bring together leaders from DEI organizations within the VC space, offering an intersectional and international perspective.
We’ll discuss how political shifts are shaping the future of DEI and how organizations are navigating these challenges. We’ll also explore how policymakers, investors, and Limited Partners can drive systemic change by adopting a more inclusive approach to DEI in their investments and requirements, and how they can actively push this agenda forward.
Best practices from policy advocacy initiatives (eg: Diversity Data Alliance) in regions such as the U.S Europe, and Latin America will be highlighted, showcasing efforts to formalize DEI policies—from individual and collective actions to influencing decision-makers and government bodies.
Through this session, participants will gain actionable strategies for advancing DEI across sectors and explore how policies can be both proactive and defensive in response to political changes affecting DEI. By addressing the complex and dynamic nature of DEI efforts worldwide, this session will offer frameworks for policy advocacy that can help mobilize investors to align with best practices.
