Humanizing the Nature of Work

“Ecosystem” is a buzzword in the business world, but how often do we actually look to Nature to inspire our business and workplace strategies?

Nature holds many organic solutions to the biggest challenges that we face in our work: sustainability, reciprocity, collaboration, resiliency, resourcing, and more. In this session, I will guide attendees through three Nature–inspired solutions they can incorporate into their day–to–day work.

The first solution is to align our strategies with the authentic nature—our “DNA”—of ourselves and our organizations to increase the resiliency and influence of our impact. The second solution is to look to the reciprocity of Nature to inspire symbiotic prosperity within our “ecosystems” and relationships as we navigate collaborations and resource allocation. Thirdly, we can look to Nature’s processes (i.e. seasonality) to cultivate a sustainable culture of work within our workplaces.

By integrating Nature’s wisdom directly into our work, we can create organizations that are more sustainable, resilient, and impactful. This session will guide introspective and collaborative discovery of actual Nature–based strategies that we can bring into our workplaces.
