Artists are first responders to heal the soul of a community. We are in the midst of a global health crisis, an economic crisis, civic unrest, and environmental degradation. We are at a crossroads: we must choose if we will perpetuate existing systems or move towards a more just, equitable and shared future. The Cultural New Deal for America helps us envision a new future and gives us a road map to get there.
