Unilaterally, each has had a negative impact that has been far harsher on women than men. Enormous “power gaps”still exist between men and women in our economies, our political systems and our corporations. Add intersectionality and the disparities widen even more. Our government and institutions must start using new generations of policies to change these discriminatory beliefs and new incentives to raise awareness of such biases. Cross sector private-public partnerships are key to achieving success. Cultural interventions are necessary to help forge this pathway to equity and representation.
Please join us in conversation and solution building with 3 powerful leading voices who are leading us across these sectors - to greater racial and gender parity. Surina Khan, CEO of the Women’s Foundation of California, Kathleen Janus, Office Of CA Governor Gavin Newsom and Jacqueline Adams, Co-author of A Blessing: Women of Color Teaming Up to Lead, Empower and Thrive, will share their stories and insights after which we will engage in deeper conversations together to ideate possible solutions through participant audience breakout sessions, recognizing it takes all of us to build this new reality together .
