Description
This highly interactive workshop helps participants tackle the complex challenges at the intersection of education, work, and technological disruption. As automation, AI, and global supply chain reconfigurations transform labor markets across all continents, we face unprecedented challenges in preparing current and future generations for meaningful economic participation.
Participants will learn to distinguish between different types of challenges (simple, complicated, complex, chaotic) and develop appropriate adaptive strategies, focusing on educational innovation and workforce development. The workshop introduces the methodology of “safe-to-fail experiments” – small, parallel interventions designed to explore possible solutions with minimal risk, allowing for rapid learning and adaptation.
Through guided activities, attendees will collaboratively design experimental approaches addressing four critical scenarios:
1. Skills development for the automated global economy across diverse cultural contexts
2. Creating global talent ecosystems that enable inclusive cross-border mobility
3. Building multisectoral alliances to support communities affected by technological displacement
4. Developing adaptive leadership capabilities for systemic transformation
Ideal for leaders from international organizations, impact investors, educational innovators, philanthropic foundations, and social entrepreneurs, this workshop provides practical tools for those seeking to create equitable and sustainable pathways to employment in a technologically disruptive world.
