Promise City: Innovating citywide solutions by leveraging neighborhood assets.

The San Francisco Promise City Initiative aims to establish the nation’s first “Promise City” by applying the successful Mission Promise Neighborhood (MPN) model to multiple, diverse San Francisco Neighborhoods. San Francisco’s Promise City coalition brings together the City and County of San Francisco, the San Francisco Unified School District , and a broad network of community-based organizations under a shared, cradle-to-career agenda—building on a decade of results from MPN. The partnership explicitly ties its work to city recovery priorities for children and families and uses MPN’s data, school-site services, and cross-sector coordination as the operating model.
