Rooted in joy: Designing and funding plant-forward food futures

Plant-forward diets are one of the most powerful levers for human and planetary health, and the creative, human-centered work of shifting food culture remains an underfunded category across the impact and philanthropic investing landscape. Leaders reshaping food experiences at campuses, festivals, stadiums, and hospitals are doing critical work but more solutions and investment are needed. This interactive session, facilitated by Plant Futures and Ideagarden Institute, is a “how might we” design sprint to explore solutions at the intersection of culture, joy, and food systems change. Participants will practice key entrepreneurial skills (like identifying unmet needs) and leave with practical tools and new ideas to act on.
