Governance and Accountability: Leveraging Governance for Change
Thursday, July 30th at 1pm ET
Governance includes the full set of processes of governing by a government, a network, a market. It is the way rules, norms and actions are structured, regulated and held accountable. In this conversation we will look at how to leverage governance for change. This session will feature examples of policy, governance and accountability in use and practice. What accountability levers are in place? How do we create new ones? Speakers will discuss different types of accountability structures from finance to communities. These examples will demonstrate how fundamental change can happen when there is accountability built into the system. Bring your questions for this timely conversation.
On Thursday, July 30th at 1pm ET, join our series facilitator, Erika Seth Davies, along with practitioners and cross-sector experts as we look at best practices, tangible examples and next steps for action for system-level conversations with a hyper-local lens. Interactive and solution-oriented sessions.WATCH RECORDING

Policy and Practice: Critical Strategies for Dismantling Structural Racism
Racism is a system and needs to be dismantled as a system. This includes policy, practice, strategy, and norms. These are some of the elements of systems change and tangible examples of how to deliver different results. How are policies affected, how are strategies used, what do we learn from our actions. How do these add up so that the whole becomes more than the sum of its parts? How can and should policy be changed at a local level and system level?

SOCAP 365 Is Committed To:
CONVENING ACROSS SECTORS
From the original thought leaders of impact investing to new stakeholders from a variety of fields, we believe a diversity of voices is vital to meaningful, actionable dialogue. Just as the conference itself is thought of as a “big tent,” SOCAP 365 also brings together multiple perspectives to foster cross-disciplinary and impactful conversations.
EXPANDING THE COMMUNITY
SOCAP 365 is both an entry point for curious first-timers and a convening ground for growing networks of local peers to cultivate new and strengthen existing relationships in the field. Often, ticket price, travel capabilities, inability to hold in-person events, or other commitments are hurdles to attending the annual SOCAP flagship conference held in-person in San Francisco. We hope to overcome these challenges with more virtual, local, and accessible programming.
ADVANCING THE CONVERSATION
We have to talk about what’s working, where the gaps are, and what’s next to actively accelerate the flow of capital toward global social and environmental challenges. SOCAP 365 provides a platform for participants to share best practices and identify new partners and collaborators throughout the year to accelerate our collective impact.
