The SOCAP Annual Conference
Unlike any other conference in impact, SOCAP convenes the whole ecosystem to catalyze investable and profitable businesses and industries that can solve the greatest challenges of our time. For more than 17 years, the SOCAP conference has been the flagship event and leading convener in the impact economy, gathering more than 110,000 people since our first event and serving as one of the world’s largest gatherings for the impact ecosystem driving market-based solutions to the world’s most pressing issues.
Why Attend SOCAP?
SOCAP is a break from the walls that historically divide us, including the geographical lines that separate us. This is where movement makers and institutional investors learn from each other; it’s where academics share research with operators on the ground and where we learn what the rest of the world is really up to. SOCAP forges profound and powerful connections.
Morgan Simon of Candide Group, a longtime attendee and a SOCAP23 speaker, shared in a Money + Meaning podcast episode that the event’s strength lies in its cross-sector design that drives connection and innovation:
“What’s great about SOCAP, in general, is the opportunity to come together as a community and discuss some of the contemporary, actionable issues that we need to address as a sector that’s looking at ways of not only doing business differently but the way that creates systems change across society.”
Who Attends SOCAP?
SOCAP brings together a global audience of funders and founders, plus people from philanthropy, government, education, media, finance, science, faith-based organizations, NGOs, creatives, nonprofits, community leaders, and others. The audience is welcoming and known for action, pushing to strike deals and relationships to power meaningful impact.
We convene a global audience, with representation from 60-plus countries at our annual flagship event.
What Sets SOCAP Apart
At SOCAP, we believe in the power of diverse perspectives and collective wisdom to unlock capital for impact. We have co-developed processes and initiatives that democratize access to speak at our events, create direct connections between founders and funders, and provide opportunities for organizations to advance their mission as partners. Learn more about these features that set SOCAP apart:
What Is SOCAP Open?
The annual SOCAP Open process invites contributions from our dynamic and ever-growing community to shape the dialogue at our flagship event. Individuals and organizations can apply to present and showcase innovative ideas, delve into impactful solutions, and open conversations about pressing issues on the SOCAP stage. We prioritize individuals who have not yet had an opportunity to share on a SOCAP stage and voices that bring fresh insights, amplifying new ideas and solutions.
What Is the SOCAP Fellowship?
The SOCAP Fellowship is an annual program that offers selected social entrepreneurs unique access to SOCAP’s broad network of investors, donors, and changemakers, as well as the opportunity to present their ventures to the SOCAP audience at the annual flagship event. The program also offers a unique partnership opportunity, inviting organizations to bring their cohorts of social entrepreneurs and/or funders to SOCAP’s annual flagship event.
How Does SOCAP Partner with Organizations?
There are countless opportunities to partner with SOCAP and help accelerate the movement toward a more just and sustainable economy. We offer our partners a unique opportunity to tailor packages to their own needs, budgets, and goals by selecting from a range of content and community engagement options.
